Happy Moment #34: Pusheen Subscription Box (Review of Summer 2018 Box!)

Not gonna lie. I have this thing for an internet cat named Pusheen. Once upon a time, I was a mama of two cats (Zora and Bailey) and a step-mama to one more (Katie) but after the three of them died of old age, we realized that Jim's cat allergies were bad and bringing another cat into the household was not going to work (in fact, we DID try and we had to bring the kitten back, something I do not want to go through again). So I am left with the adorable Pusheen (who was created in 2010 and originally appeared in a comic stip -- more info here!).

And then a little while back I discovered that there were subscription boxes where (1) the box focused on Pusheen and (2) what you got was a surprise! So as I am counting down the things that make me happy, it made sense to mention my latest Pusheen Subscription Box (Summer 2018) that just arrived in the mail yesterday! Even the box that the whole thing comes in is super adorable! A box that has cat features! You guys already have me!

Here was my first look! Eight items were included this time, which are all detailed on the little card that you see at the top of the box!

Item #1: Pusheen Box Exclusive T-Shirt

I ordered a larger size than I normally wear and I am glad I did! It fits perfectly! I love it! I love the detailing -- it also includes Pip and Stormy, Pusheen's little brother and sister!

Item #2: Paper Straws

The straws were the first things I saw in the box and I squealed! I think they are so cute and I will be bringing these to work to use when I am teaching!

Item #3: A Pusheenicorn Water Bottle

I love, love, love Pusheenicorn! And I want to love this water bottle but two small issues -- (1) it is small and (2) some of the vinyl design is already rubbing off and I haven't even used it yet. I will, though, bring this to my office and get some use out of it but I am not sure how long it will last.

Item #4: Pusheen Vinyl Figure

It is a surfing Pusheen -- again, this is an item that you will end up seeing in my office! I am starting to get a whole collection there of vinyl characters and it does sometimes prompt conversations from students who cone in to see me and that is a good thing, right?

I love that the base is the wave itself. Super cute!

Item #5: Pusheen Drink Float

Okay -- finally something for home! It is a little floatie that I can use in the bath for my drink of choice!

Item #6: Summer Vacation Pusheen Plush

I am not a big plush person but this will look cute at work! The detailing is awfully cute!

Item #7: Pusheen Desk Fan

I think this was my favorite thing in the box! This will be so useful because I have blown the "motors" in several little fans already (I am always hot, especially when I am working on front of the computer). I am guessing this one won't last forever but I will use it until the very end!

Item #8: Pusheenicorn Pot

Again, this is one of my favorites from the box! It is made of ceramic and is pretty heavy! It is perfect for those little odds and ends in my sewing nook!

Final Verdict? I love Pusheen. For reals. She makes me smile and I can at least have some Pusheen items around that won't make Jim sneeze. But, that said -- this will probably be my last box. The stuff is super adorable and generally worth the $50 fee but I already have so much. That money would be better spent on something else I think. You know, like fabric. Or a sewing machine :)
