Happy Moment #32: I Met Tula Pink!

As usual, I am behind in posting but I wanted to be sure to mention that I met one of my inspirations a few weeks ago -- fabric designer and quilter, Tula Pink! I adore her designs and her colors are exactly what I love! She has some amazing stuff -- here are just a few examples (including the Elizabeth line, which is one of my all time favorite ones!)

Near the beginning of the year, I found out that Tula was going to be doing a trunk show at Missouri Star Quilt Company up in Hamilton, MO (about 4 hours from here) and so I bought a ticket! Jim and I ended up finding a great little local Airbnb rental and made a weekend out of it! I even made a shirt out of her fabric so I could impress Tula if I happened to meet her (which I did) but I don't think she was super impressed as several folks there had done the same thing that I did! But she did sign the collar of my shirt so that was pretty cool!

Look! That is me and the amazing Tula Pink!

She had a great presentation where she talked about how she creates her art from real life!

Look at the amazing quilts she has made!

She signed my shirt!

In short, she is just darn inspiring! She makes me want to sew! #girlcrush
