Happy Moment #16: The St Louis History Museum

I am short on time but I wanted to drop a bunch of pictures in this entry which represent my recent adventure (with Jim!) to a special exhibit at the St Louis History Museum which reflects some of the experiences that African Americans have had in this city that I have grown to love (though I am a transplant here!). The exhibit is called "#1 IN CIVIL RIGHTS -- THE AFRICAN AMERICAN FREEDOM STRUGGLE IN ST. LOUIS" and it is wonderful (click here for more information!). I am not saying that it isn't sad or frustrating but that is part of the experience. As a woman with white skin, I feel it is terribly important that I better understand the experience of others, especially folks who have not had the same privileges that I have experienced simply because of the color of my skin. The exhibit is going on until the middle of April -- see it if you can! (And it is free! So many awesome things in St Louis are free!)
