Happy Moment #15: I Met Trevor Conquergood!

So I was recently at an embroidery event at the St Louis store of Jackman's (I work at the Illinois store part time!) and guess who I met! Trevor Conquergood!

And perhaps if you are my friend you are now saying, "Who in the heck is this guy?!"

Well, I am an avid machine embroidery enthusiast and Trevor has been the teacher I have been watching on videos -- and now I got to meet him in person! If you are going to learn a skill like embroidery, it is best if you learn that skill from someone who has been in the business for so long that he -- seriously -- sort of created an audience of people like me who want to learn to digitize with our home embroidery machines. And -- It is so cool to meet awesome people who you admire and then you find out that these folks are just as awesome in real life!

Yep! You know that I got there as early as I could and managed to get a great seat near the front!

As you can see from the pic below, I took a lot of notes!

And I got to have a one-on-one conversation with him! Happy, happy moment!
